Drawn, machined, finished, painted
Every piece starts as a drawing and ends as a sheet of board on the bed of our CNC. The fluting on an arch, the ribs on a plinth and the radius on a counter are all cut from the same digital model, which is why the curve is fair and why the tenth one matches the first.
We build in MDF and finish in paint, and we say so plainly because it is the right answer rather than the cheap one. Board is dimensionally stable, it machines to a crisp edge that solid timber will not hold at this rib pitch, and it takes any colour you name. A hire company ordering twelve arches in a specific green gets twelve arches in that green.
Hand finishing is where the time goes. Machining is fast; filling, sanding and spraying to a surface that still looks right at arm's length is not.

The arch, made properly
Fluted arches turn up at every event in the country now. The difference is in the things you notice at two metres: the pitch of the ribs, whether the curve is fair, how the panels meet, and whether the finish survives its tenth hire.
We machine ours from scratch on our own CNC, then paint them in the colours hire companies actually book. Wholesale quantities and repeat runs are normal work for us, not a favour.

How a custom job runs
No two jobs are the same, so nothing here is a fixed package. This is the shape of it.
Talk it through
Send drawings, a photo or a rough idea. We work out whether it is buildable and what it will take.
Design and quote
We detail the piece, confirm materials and finishes, and give you a fixed price before anything is cut.
Manufacture
Built in our own workshop, from CNC cutting to final paint. You are welcome to see your job on the floor, by appointment.
Deliver and install
Delivered Australia-wide, and installed on site where the job calls for it.
