Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Arch House Australia Pty Ltd collects, why we collect it, who can see it and how you can have it corrected or deleted.

Last updated 19 August 2026.

Who we are

Arch House Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 93 659 055 517, of Springvale, Victoria. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can reach us at info@archhouse.com.au or on 0470 279 998.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect your name, your business name if you give one, your email address, your phone number, the type of work you are asking about, where the job is, when you need it, and whatever detail you choose to write in the message field.

If you go on to place an order we also collect a delivery or site address, and the information needed to invoice you and arrange delivery.

We do not ask for and do not want your payment card details through this website. We do not collect sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it.

Why we collect it

To quote your job, to ask you the questions we need answered before we can quote it, to build and deliver what you order, to invoice you, and to answer you if you contact us later about work we have done.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who can see it

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

We share it only where we have to in order to do the job you asked for: with a delivery or freight provider so your order can be delivered, with our accountant or bookkeeper for invoicing and tax records, and with a professional adviser where we are obliged to.

We will disclose information to an Australian law enforcement agency if we are legally required to. Where we are permitted to tell you, we will consult you first and seek your written consent before we do.

Where it is stored, including overseas

Enquiries submitted through this website are handled by our website host and are then delivered to our email. Our website host operates servers outside Australia, including in the United States, so sending an enquiry through this form involves your information being stored overseas. By sending an enquiry you consent to that disclosure. If you would rather not send information overseas, phone us on 0470 279 998 instead.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them to answer a question about a quote or a job, and we keep order and invoice records for the period Australian tax law requires, which is currently five years. After that we delete or de-identify them.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising cookies, does not run analytics, and does not track you across other websites. If that changes, this page is updated before the change goes live.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@archhouse.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within 30 days. There is no charge for asking.

If we cannot give you what you have asked for, we will tell you why in writing.

Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email info@archhouse.com.au and tell us what happened. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
