A reception desk is the first thing anyone touches in your building, and the one piece of joinery a visitor stands at long enough to judge. We manufacture custom reception desks in our Melbourne workshop and deliver them Australia-wide. Straight, curved, fluted and fully parametric, machined from scratch and finished in whatever colour the room asks for.

One shape, any colour you like

Every desk below is the same fundamental form. The fronts are machined from MDF and sprayed to the colour you specify, so the range is not a stock swatch card. Send a paint code, a finish schedule, or the tin.

Four ways we build them

Straight

Clean rectilinear counters, machined square and painted to your colour. The workhorse, and the fastest to build.

Curved

Radiused fronts and full racetrack ends, formed to a fair curve rather than faceted and filled.

Parametric

Sliced-rib forms that read as a single wave. Cut from a digital model so every rib lands exactly.

Fluted

Vertical fluting to the front face and around the returns, matched to panelling elsewhere in the fitout.

The side your staff sees

The front of a reception desk is the part that gets photographed. The back is the part somebody works at for eight hours. Drawer banks, open shelving, power and data are worked out at design stage with your electrician, not drilled in afterwards.

Built for the counter, not the catalogue

Reception desks take more abuse than any other piece in an office. Bags land on them, chairs hit them, and the same corner gets knocked a hundred times a week. We build for that: reinforced edges where the wear happens, serviceable fixings, and finishes chosen because they survive rather than because they photograph well.

Nothing here is a stock size. Every desk is measured to its own space, and where a lift or a doorway will not take it in one piece it is built to come apart and go back together on site.

Common questions

How big can a reception desk be?

There is no standard size. Desks are built to the space and delivered in sections where access requires it, then joined on site so the joins do not read.

Can you match our fitout finishes?

Yes. Send the finish schedule or a colour code and we will match the paint finish to the rest of the tenancy. Pieces are machined from MDF and then sprayed, so we are not working from a fixed palette.

Do you work from an architect's drawings?

Regularly. Send the drawings and we will detail the joinery, flag anything that will not build as drawn, and quote from there.

Do you deliver outside Melbourne?

Yes. We deliver Australia-wide from Melbourne, and we install where the job calls for it.
